Welcome to my audio system
The system is based on a pair of full range Apogees powered by an Australian Valve Hybrid Amplifier.

The Speakers
Apogee Signature series Calipers. The binding posts have been replaced with WBTs and the edge of the bass panels have been siliconed to avoid buzzing. This pair is approx 15 years old. Speaker cable is Kimber 8TC, split at the speaker end to 4 strands per driver. Replacement panels and ribbons are available from as close as Australia - graz@graz.com.au - Highly & strongly recommended. Graz is the only dude in the world who can reproduce your ribbons the way they were supposed to be.

The Room
The Audio system is in the lounge room of our home which is a 1927 Queenslander. The house itself is wooden and has single layer wood tongue-and-groove walls, an a corrugated iron roof, - not an ideal audio room. The carpet, a wall rug and the drapes help to overcome the natural brightness.

The Amps
From left to right: Micrex P1 Power Amplifier , Micrex R1 Pre-Amplifier , Rega Planet CD Player. Interconnects are Kimber Silver streak with Bullet-plugs. In the cupboard is a NAD tuner and Nakamichi LX3 Cassette deck connected via Kimber PBJs. (The cupboard assists the WAF).Other hidden items include a separate TV (NAD) & surround system using a Yamaha DSP1 and a Yamaha 4 Channel Amp for the main and effect speakers.
